Weekly Ride Schedule

Saturday 1:00pm

Club Run - 1:00pm from the club house.  Destination varies but paced to the slowest rider with a cafe stop half way.  Typically we get 25 riders on these rides and they are a pleasant afternoon of sociable riding.

Club Runs Autumn 2010

Sunday 8:30am (Training Ride)

Training Ride - from the club house. Destination varies. Typical distance is 60 miles (4 hours) at a steady high pace. The idea of these rides is to increase fitness ready for the start of the racing season in March.

Sunday 10:00am

Club Run - 10:00am from the club house.  Destination varies but paced to the slowest rider.  Typically we get 20 riders on these rides and they are a pleasant afternoon of sociable riding. These rides are typically longer than the Saturday rides which is why they leave earlier.

Wednesday 8pm (Club night)

Fast group ride from the club house approximately 10-15 miles comprising of a flat 1 mile lap based on the coast road by Lidl.  Road bike ride with lights a requirement on dark winter nights (lap is lit but link road to and from club to lap is not).  Fast ride and very exciting. This ride is not a club run per se and does not contribute to club run points. It is a fast ride that does not pace to the slowest rider. This is not for everyone and if you are not interested in fast riding then there is no shame in staying behind for lots of tea in the clubhouse and a good social evening to enjoy.

Thursday 7pm (Training Ride)

Group ride meeting at Lidl's (Delta Lakes), Llanelli at 7pm. Ride starts slowly and works up the speed throughout the hour. The aim of these rides is to teach riders how to ride properly in a group at faster speeds. Great for testing yourself and improving fitness. Riders will learn how to ride steady in a chaingang fashion (through-and-off rotation) with a competition for bragging rights on the last few laps.
